WooCommerce settings

Note

The WooCommerce tab appears only when WooCommerce is active.

This tab controls how your store looks across the shop, category archives and single product pages. Throughout the settings you'll see two product contexts: the Product Card is a product as it appears in a listing (the shop and category grids), while the Product Summary is the single product page. Several toggles exist in both places and are controlled separately, so you can, for example, show ratings on the single page but hide them on listing cards.

You'll find the tab in the Settings panel, under Themeasy → Settings. Its fields are grouped into accordion sections. Click Save Changes to apply your changes; a "Settings saved." notice appears when they're saved.

For what these options look like on the storefront, start with Themeasy for WooCommerce.

Two store-wide basics live on the General tab instead: the content width your shop templates use, and whether the breadcrumb trail shows on shop and product pages.

Category Display options: Show Products, Show Subcategories, Show Both.

Changing Products Per Row or Rows Per Page ticks Configure your store on the Overview checklist.

Product archives designed in Elementor

If you have built a product archive as a Global Section, a note at the top of this section links to it. Wherever that section is displayed, its own widgets replace the Catalog & Shop and Product Card options. See Section types.

Product Card

These control the product listing cards shown in the shop and category grids. See Product cards for the storefront side.

Field What it does Default
Image Display Mode How product images are displayed on listing cards (see options below). Single
Sale Badge Shows a "Sale" badge on discounted products. On
Wishlist Button Shows an "Add to Wishlist" button on cards. On
Compare Button Shows a "Compare" button on cards. On
Quick View Shows a Quick View button on cards. On

Add to Cart Position Where the Add to Cart button sits on the card. After Price

Image Display Mode options: Single, Slides, Change on Hover.

Add to Cart Position options: After Price or Overlay the Image.

When Rating is on, a Rating Position field appears — choose Before Title or After Price (default).

When Categories is on, a Categories Position field appears — choose Before Title (default) or After Price.

Note

The Wishlist Button requires the WPC Smart Wishlist plugin, and the Compare Button requires the WPC Smart Compare plugin. Each toggle stays disabled until its plugin is installed and active.

Product Summary

These control the single product page. See Single product page for the storefront side.

Field What it does Default
Sale Badge Shows a "Sale" badge on discounted products. On
Wishlist Button Shows an "Add to Wishlist" button on the product page. On
Rating Shows the average rating on the product page. On
Add to Cart Layout Which add-to-cart layout the page uses (see options below). Theme Custom Layout
Buy Now Shows a "Buy Now" button. On
Share Buttons Shows social sharing buttons in the summary. On
Compare Shows a Compare button in the summary. On
View Details Shows a details link in the summary. On
Product Meta Shows product meta information in the summary. On

Add to Cart Layout options: Theme Custom Layout (adds extra options) or WooCommerce Default (best compatibility).

Several of these toggles reveal a text field when on, so you can set the label that appears:

  • Buy Now → Buy Now Label sets the button text (default "Buy Now").
  • Share Buttons → Share Label sets the optional text shown before the buttons (default "Share").
  • Compare → Compare Label sets the button text (default "Compare").
  • View Details → View Details Label sets the link text (default "View Details"). In a Quick View the link opens the product page; on the product page it scrolls down to the description section.

As on the product card, the Wishlist Button requires the WPC Smart Wishlist plugin and Compare requires the WPC Smart Compare plugin.

When Product Meta is on, four sub-toggles appear so you can choose exactly what to show: Show SKU, Show Brands, Show Categories and Show Tags. Each is on by default.

Images & Thumbnails

These set the target sizes used for product images and gallery thumbnails.

Field What it does Range Default
Main Image Width Target width of the main image on the product page, in pixels. 400–1200 800
Catalog Thumbnail Width Target width of product thumbnails in the shop and grid, in pixels. 100–800 360
Thumbnail Cropping How product thumbnails are cropped (see options below). — Square (1:1)
Gallery Thumbnail Width Width of the thumbnails in the product image gallery, in pixels. 50–300 140
Gallery Thumbnail Height Height of the thumbnails in the product image gallery, in pixels. 50–300 175
Thumbnail Direction Orientation of the product gallery thumbnails. — Vertical

Thumbnail Cropping options: Square (1:1), Custom Ratio, Uncropped. When you pick Custom Ratio, two more fields appear — Custom Ratio – Width (default 4) and Custom Ratio – Height (default 3), each from 1 to 10. Together they make a ratio such as 4:3.

Thumbnail Direction options: Vertical or Horizontal.

Warning

Changing any image size or cropping field schedules a thumbnail regeneration in the background, and a notice confirms it after you save. On large catalogs this can take a while to finish.

Product Custom Tabs

  • Enable Product Custom Tabs — lets you add your own custom tabs to the product page. On by default.

Variation Swatches

  • Enable Variation Swatches — shows color and image swatches for product variations. On by default.

When swatches are enabled, Swatches on Product Cards sets how they appear in listings:

Option What shoppers see
Compact (Quick Add) (default) The color and image swatches on a single line. The other options, such as size, are asked for in a quick add panel over the product image.
Full Every attribute listed on the card.

See Variation swatches for setting up the swatches themselves.

Ajax Product Filter

  • Enable AJAX Product Filter — refreshes product grids when filters change, without a full page reload. On by default. The filter itself is covered in Shop & catalog.

Product Custom Fields

  • Enable Product Custom Fields — lets shoppers add custom text or details to their order. Off by default.

When this is on, Custom Field Location appears. Choose Enable for All Products (default) to use one field on every product, or Enable Per Product (Set Individually) to configure the field on each product.

With Enable for All Products selected, four more fields set up that shared field:

Field What it does Default
Field Name The identifier shown for this field in the cart and order details. Custom Name
Field Label The label shown for this field in the cart and order details. Custom Label
Field Description A short message below the input that explains what to enter. Please enter your custom text here.
Input Placeholder The hint text inside the input. Enter your custom text here...

See Product custom fields for the full workflow.
