Billing & invoices
The Billing page (at /account/billing) shows your active subscription, when it renews, and a
read-only list of your invoices. Its subtitle sums it up: "Manage your active subscriptions and
licenses below. Some actions — such as updating payment details or canceling a plan — will redirect
you to Freemius, our billing provider."
Billing here is read-only
Your payment method, plan changes, cancellations and invoice PDFs all live in Freemius, the
merchant of record that sells and bills our direct purchases. Themeasy Hub shows you a summary; the buttons on this page open Freemius in a new
tab so you can make changes there. If you bookmarked the old /account/subscription address, it now
redirects here.
If you've never been billed, the page simply reads "You don't have any billing activity yet."
Payment alerts
Two banners can appear at the top of the page depending on your subscription's state.
- Your last payment failed. — shown when a renewal payment did not go through (your subscription is past due). The banner tells you to "Update your payment method to keep your subscription active." and gives you an Update payment button that opens Freemius. Act on this promptly so your access isn't interrupted.
- Your trial ends … — shown when a free trial is ending within the next 7 days. It includes a Convert now link to Freemius so you can add a payment method before the trial runs out.
Your subscription
The subscription card shows the product and, where applicable, the plan next to it. A status badge sits in the corner with one of these states:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Trialing | You're on a free trial. |
| Active | The subscription is paid and current. |
| Past due | A payment failed — see the alert above. |
| Cancelled | The subscription was cancelled; access may run until the period ends. |
| Expired | The subscription has ended. |
Just under the product name you'll see the renewal line:
- Next charge: amount on date — your upcoming renewal amount and date.
- Renews date — when an amount isn't available.
- No upcoming renewal — for a cancelled, expired or lifetime subscription, where nothing renews.
Manage your subscription
The card has two buttons, and both open the Freemius customer portal:
- Update payment method — change the card or payment details on file.
- Cancel subscription — stop the subscription from renewing.
Change plan
When a higher plan is available for your subscription, a Change plan section lists it as a card with the plan name and its price (per month, per year, or both). The ladder goes Widgets → Pro → Agency.
Selecting a card opens the Freemius checkout as an upgrade of the license you already have: your license key stays the same, the unused part of your current plan is credited, and your old subscription ends, so you are never billed twice.
To move to a lower plan, click "To move to a lower plan, contact support." in the same section — it opens a new ticket so our team can make the change for you.
▸ I don't see any upgrade cards
Upgrades are offered only when the Hub holds the license key behind your subscription, because the key is what turns the checkout into an upgrade instead of a second purchase. If the section is missing and you're not already on the top plan, paste your key on the licenses page and come back.
Bought through ThemeForest?
A theme bought on ThemeForest is paid for through Envato, not Freemius, so there's no Freemius invoice to show. Instead you'll see a Your receipt is on ThemeForest card with a View ThemeForest downloads button that takes you to your ThemeForest account, where your receipt and download live.
Invoice history
The Invoice history section lists your past Freemius payments, newest first. Each row shows the invoice date and the total (the amount plus any VAT, in the invoice's currency). If there's nothing to show yet, you'll see "No invoices to show".
To download invoice PDFs or see full payment details, use the Manage billing & invoices button — it signs you straight into the Freemius customer portal, where every receipt is available.
Note
Billing covers your active subscription and its invoices. For your complete transaction history — including one-off and ThemeForest purchases — see Purchase history.
